Job summary

Self-Help in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Mortgage Loan Assistant to support loan processing, document collection, and customer communication. You will track outstanding items, coordinate with applicants and staff, assist in closing loans with mortgage closers, and help processors with workflow to ensure timely processing.

Required are a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), 2–3 years in customer service (loan operations a plus), knowledge of mortgage loans and regulations, and bilingual

• Working knowledge of mortgage loans and federal regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; bilingual in Spanish/English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain effective communication with applicants, third parties and internal staff on loan status and requests.
• Assist in the facilitation of closing loans with mortgage closers and processors.
