Job summary

Self-Help in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Mortgage Loan Assistant to support loan processing, document collection, and customer communication. Qualifications

• 2–3 years in customer service; loan processing/operations a plus.
• Working knowledge of mortgage loans and federal regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication; bilingual in Spanish/English.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Track all outstanding items with mortgage applications and follow up with borrowers to ensure timely receipt of documentation.
• Maintain effective communication with applicants, third parties and internal staff on loan status and requests.
• Assist in the facilitation of closing loans with mortgage closers and processors.
• Monitor workflow to assure timely processing of loans and support other tasks as needed.
