Job summary

MSGCU is seeking a Real Estate (Mortgage) Lending professional to originate first mortgages, conduct pre-qualification interviews, and prepare loan packages. The role supports Royal Oak and Madison Heights offices, requiring proactive member service and strong knowledge of lending guidelines.

You will cultivate referrals, meet production goals, and work with branch teams to drive mortgage growth while ensuring compliant processing and timely communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of mortgage origination experience; or 2 years of mortgage banking or relevant lending experience; or 3 years of analytical finance experience.
• NMLS licensure is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate first mortgages including pre-qualification interviews and preparing loan packages.
• Meet production goals and cultivate referrals from members, builders, and real estate agents.
• Read, interpret, and apply financial information according to policies and guidelines.
• Assist branch teams to increase mortgage loan production and communicate updates promptly.
• Maintain post-closing relationships with members to gain additional opportunities.
