Job summary

Nuvision Federal Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to provide high-level member service in origination of residential mortgages via phone, walk-ins, and referrals. You will build relationships with members, realtors, and builders, manage a growing pipeline, and ensure timely documentation and compliance while promoting Nuvision products.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years mortgage loan officer experience.
• Thorough knowledge of entire mortgage process from origination to end servicing.
• Solid understanding of applicable rules, laws and regulations pertaining to financial institutions, specifically credit unions, including mortgage lending.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Nuvision products and services.
• Excellent sales and counseling skills required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential for interacting with member and referral sources.
• Active listener with demonstrated ability to generate needs-based solutions.Represent the Credit Union in a professional/member centric manner.
• NMLS Registration Required

Responsibilities

• Originates mortgage loans by phone or in person; meets monthly origination and closing goals.
• Responds to member inquiries; provides consultative services and explains mortgage products.
• Initiates rate lock requests and coordinates with secondary marketing.
• Conducts mortgage-related promotional events and educational seminars.
• Manages mortgage loan pipeline and ensures production targets are met.
• Provides desk time for Call Center inquiries; quotes rates and takes applications.
• Collaborates with processors and underwriters to obtain documentation and ensure a positive member experience.
• Cross-sells other Credit Union products.
• Represents the Credit Union professionally and participates in continuous improvement activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of member information.
