Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union in New York seeks Mortgage Loan Originators to build relationships with attorneys, realtors and other professionals across seven counties to grow our mortgage business. You will interview applicants, gather documents, explain closing costs, coordinate underwriting, and support a team focused on high-quality member service while adhering to NMLS SAFE Act requirements.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related experience required.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred.
• Two-year degree, certification/licensing, or vendor training acceptable.

Responsabilités

• Develop relationships with attorneys, builders, realtors and real estate professionals to grow mortgage business.
• Interview loan applicants, collect documents, and preliminarily determine underwriting eligibility.
• Explain closing costs and submit applications to underwriting for approval.
• Provide support to department staff and troubleshoot loan issues.
