Job summary

United Federal Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Advisor to provide quality real estate lending expertise through financial counseling and product awareness to members seeking real estate financing. This role supports loan growth objectives by guiding members through the loan process from application to closing.

The ideal candidate has experience in real estate lending, strong knowledge of lending guidelines, and excellent communication skills to educate members and collaborate with branches

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years real estate lending experience desired.
• NMLS registration required upon hire.
• Knowledge of real estate laws, regulations, policies and compliance.
• Ability to develop or improve loan products.
• Ability to develop strategy for seminars, presentations and trade shows.
• Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform complex financial calculations.
• Proficient with CRM, origination software and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial counseling through interviewing, pre-qualifying, and the mortgage loan application process.
• Monitor and manage sales pipeline, follow up to obtain loan status and conditions, and assist with underwriting conditions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with real estate professionals; represent the Credit Union at community real estate events.
• Collaborate with branch lending personnel and provide educational support to branches and members.
