Job summary

Victory Mortgage is seeking a Mortgage Loan Setup Specialist to join our team in Kentucky. You will support the loan transaction from submission through underwriting preparation, review submissions for accuracy, and coordinate required documentation with internal partners.

You will handle VE requests, third‑party coordination, and ensure files progress on time while upholding mortgage program knowledge, policy, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least a high school diploma; degree preferred.
• Experience in mortgage processing or related roles is beneficial.
• Strong written and oral communication, organization, judgment, and customer-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Review loan files submitted by Loan Officers for accuracy and submission quality.
• Complete system checklists and ensure documentation before underwriting.
• Process Verification of Employment and other employment docs for loan approval.
• Prepare and submit loan files to Underwriting within SLAs.
• Coordinate third-party services (title, appraisals, fraud reports, condo docs).
• Gather documentation for government loan programs (FHA, VA, USDA).
• Support new-construction loan transactions with required docs.
• Maintain organized loan files throughout submission and underwriting.
• Apply mortgage program knowledge to ensure compliant file setup.
• Communicate with Loan Officers and partners to resolve missing information.
