Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a Mortgage Data Analyst/Data Analytics (RMBS) to support US Fixed Income, Securitized Products, and capital markets operations in data analysis and reporting. The role covers trading desk data, secured lending financing, and securitization reporting.

The role requires strong quantitative and Excel skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work across global teams. Power BI and mortgage knowledge are a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong quantitative, analytical, Excel, and modelling skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Detail-oriented with creative and strategic thinking in ambiguous environments.
• Proactive, results-oriented and well-organized; able to prioritise multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively across countries and organizational boundaries.
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage terms preferred.
• Power BI experience is a plus; CAS Software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage data and reporting for Residential Whole Loan Trading Desk transactions related to bids, purchases, and exits by analysing loan data.
• Manage data and reporting for the Secured Lending group in financing assets by analysing data for warehouse financing.
• Manage data and reporting for the Global Capital Markets group in residential mortgage loans for securitization.
• Normalize data including scrubbing, calculations, reports, validations, and QC tests.
• Prepare and report on data used in models.
• Assist in Regulatory Reporting, including CCAR reporting for the Residential Whole Loan Trading Desk.
