Job summary

Pennymac is seeking a Collateral Management Specialist to review collateral files for loans purchased by Pennymac, ensuring enforceability and accuracy of Note data. You will serve as a point of contact on collateral procurement projects and support overall collateral management initiatives.

The role requires 2+ years in mortgage/finance, familiarity with collateral documents, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

2+ years of mortgage or finance industry experience, preferably in loan servicing.
Familiar with the collateral documents files (note, mortgage, related riders and addendums, assignments, title insurance policy, etc.).
Ability to be trained and train on various Collateral Management related tasks.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

Responsibilities

Be responsible for the collateral review process of newly boarded purchased loans.
Complete and resolve escalated collateral reviews and exception resolutions.
Assist in working with sellers on clearing or curing of collateral issues on purchased loans.
Report collateral exceptions to sellers and internal departments.
Work with Foreclosure Attorneys to obtain active Bailee letters.
Place collateral document orders with vendors.
Create collateral documents (i.e. Allonges, Endorsements, etc.).
Actively participate in the maintenance of departmental policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
