Job summary

Pennymac is seeking a Collateral Management Specialist to review collateral files for loans purchased by Pennymac, ensuring enforceability and accurate note data. You will serve as a point of contact on collateral procurement projects.

The role includes reviewing newly boarded loans, resolving escalated collateral reviews, working with sellers to clear issues, placing collateral document orders, and creating collateral documents while supporting policy maintenance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mortgage or finance industry experience.
• Familiar with collateral document files (notes, mortgages, riders, addendums, assignments, title policy).
• Ability to be trained and train on Collateral Management tasks.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).

Responsibilities

• Review collateral files for loans purchased by Pennymac to ensure enforceability of the loans and accuracy of Note data.
• Serve as a point of contact on assigned collateral procurement projects.
• Review newly boarded purchased loans collateral process and complete/escalate resolutions.
• Assist sellers in clearing or curing collateral issues on purchased loans.
• Report collateral exceptions to sellers and internal departments.
• Place collateral document orders with vendors.
• Create collateral documents (Allonges, Endorsements, etc.).
• Maintain departmental policies and procedures.
