Job summary

Indiana Members Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Closer to provide excellent service to members and internal teams. You will manage a fast-paced mortgage and home equity closing process, issue disclosures, work with title companies, and fund via wires while ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Responsibilities include reconciling disclosures with title, validating underwriting requirements, and maintaining loan pipelines with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years mortgage or home equity production/servicing experience.
• Prior branch-related experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate productive written and verbal communication with members, branch and production staff, investors, insurers, third-party vendors and servicing staff to address requests and maintain a productive and compliant relationships
• Reconciling closing disclosures with the title company
• Ensure timely and accurate closing of mortgage and home equity loans per policies, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements
• Validate underwriting requirements and related docs; verify hazard insurance, taxes and MI payments; review closing payoffs
• Manage a pipeline of loans with quality and efficiency metrics
• Knowledge of mortgage closing practices and regulatory compliance
• Update loan origination systems with required data, commentary and key dates
• Other duties as assigned
• Able to work in a fast paced, team-oriented atmosphere with changing environment
• Able to prioritize tasks and organization daily functions, multi-tasking a plus
• Able to work with minimal management
• Experience processing tasks in a paperless environment
