Job summary

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union in Evansville, IN, seeks a Mortgage Loan Closer to join the Mortgage Team. The position requires coordinating closings, reviewing documents with members, and ensuring accuracy and compliance in all steps.

Candidates must be available to work Saturdays on a rotating basis and will handle notary duties, disclosures, and cross-selling of CU products, anchoring the team in mortgage operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent member service skills and attention to detail are required.
• Must adhere to accuracy and compliance in all mortgage closing processes.
• Familiarity with federal regulations applicable to mortgage loans is expected.

Responsibilities

• Close mortgage loans for specific programs and coordinate closing times with title companies and originators.
• Review all loan documents with members and obtain signatures where required.
• Prepare Closing Disclosure and verify homeowners insurance; review closing figures with members.
• Notary services and cross-selling of credit union products.
• Develop knowledge of the credit union's mortgage products and loan systems.
