Job summary

Newrez is seeking a Closing Specialist to assemble, prepare, review, and verify loan closing documents while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and regulatory requirements. You will manage an active pipeline to ensure closings are accurate, timely, and within service level agreements.

The role requires coordinating with title companies, lenders, and borrowers, delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines, and maintaining strong communication with internal teams and partners

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a title, mortgage, or financial services environment preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and complete assignments within established procedures and timelines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Bilingual skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, prepare, review, and verify documents required for loan closings.
• Prepare preliminary settlement statements for lenders and create CD/ALTA statements.
• Maintain liaison between title companies, lenders, and borrowers with strict deadlines.
• Perform final review of title fees, taxes, premiums, endorsements, vesting, and all checklist items prior to closing.
