Job summary

AD Mortgage in Troy, MI is seeking a Bankruptcy Specialist to manage day-to-day administration and processing of mortgage servicing bankruptcy cases. You will handle Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 accounts, ensuring compliance with court requirements, investor guidelines, and servicing rules.

You will review cases, prepare Proofs of Claim, monitor payments, analyze plans, and coordinate with attorneys, trustees, borrowers, and internal partners. This hands-on role requires accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred.
• 2-5 years of mortgage servicing bankruptcy experience preferred.
• Experience administering Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcies.
• Experience preparing and filing Proofs of Claim.
• Knowledge of bankruptcy payment processing and plan monitoring.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy court documents and procedures.
• Experience working within mortgage servicing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Administer and process Chapter 7, 11, 12, and 13 bankruptcy cases.
• Prepare Proofs of Claim and filing.
• Monitor bankruptcy payments and plans.
• Review discharge processing and reaffirmation agreements.
• Coordinate with attorneys, trustees, borrowers, and internal teams.
• Maintain accurate bankruptcy records in servicing systems.
• Track deadlines and ensure timely actions.
• Respond to bankruptcy inquiries from borrowers and stakeholders.
