Job summary

First American's ServiceMac unit seeks an experienced professional to service mortgage accounts and oversee bankruptcy activities in full compliance with state and federal laws, investor and insurer guidelines, and company policies.

You will conduct thorough file reviews, manage bankruptcy proceedings with mortgagors, attorneys, investors and trustees, monitor timelines, and ensure accurate data entry and reporting across systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in bankruptcy processes and mortgage servicing
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and adherence to guidelines
• Experience with GSE and government programs preferred
• MSP and LoanSphere experience preferred
• Proficiency with Windows OS and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Responsibilities

• Service mortgage accounts to ensure bankruptcy activities comply with state and federal laws and guidelines
• Conduct thorough reviews of files to ensure bankruptcy timeframes are met
• Manage bankruptcy proceedings with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees and other parties
• Monitor activities by reviewing bankruptcy records and timelines across systems
• Follow up on outstanding requests from internal and external partners
• Audit accounts for expense compliance and correct application to the system of record
• Research loans with questionable items and ensure proper notifications and actions
• Maintain exception reporting as key control to minimize risk
