Job summary

Securitas, Inc. seeks a Healthcare Security Officer in Danbury, CT to protect patients, visitors and staff in a healthcare setting.

You will be part of a team that maintains safety, protects people and property, and provides professional, courteous service. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to stand and patrol for long periods, and the capacity to work a Thursday–Sunday schedule with early morning hours.

Job Title: Healthcare Security Officer
Location: Danbury, CT
Schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 5:30AM–1:30PM (32 hours per week)
Days Off: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Pay Rate: $19.05 per hour

About the Role
We’re looking for a Healthcare Security Officer in Danbury, CT to help keep patients, visitors, and staff safe in a healthcare environment. You’ll be part of a team that protects people, property, and information while delivering professional, respectful service.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas of the facility
• Provide a visible security presence and respond to incidents
• Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and basic information
• Enforce facility rules and regulations in a calm, professional manner
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs accurately
• Support emergency procedures (fire, medical, security) as directed
• Work closely with healthcare staff to maintain a safe environment

Requirements

• Ability to work the set schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 05:30–13:30
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to pass background checks and meet any state/local licensing requirements
• Previous security, military, law enforcement, or healthcare experience is an asset but not required (training provided)
