Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking a Shift Lead Officer to support a healthcare client in New Milford, CT. This full-time role on the morning shift leads security officers on your site, ensures smooth operations, and maintains a calm, professional environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

You will monitor access, respond to incidents, complete reports, and assist with onboarding for new officers. Prior security or leadership experience is preferred; training and uniforms are provided, with growth

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or related experience is a plus.
• Leadership or supervisory experience is advantageous.
• Ability to work the set schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 06:30-14:30.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all post orders and site procedures are followed.
• Monitor access control, visitor management, and overall safety on site.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and professionally.

About the Role

We're looking for a reliable and professional Shift Lead Officer to support a healthcare client in New Milford. In this role, you'll provide security services on-site and lead the officers on your shift to ensure a safe, calm, and professional environment for staff, patients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support security officers during the morning shift
• Ensure all post orders and site procedures are followed
• Monitor access control, visitor management, and general safety on site
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
• Complete incident reports and daily activity logs accurately and on time
• Communicate effectively with client staff, visitors, and your Securitas team
• Support training and onboarding of new officers on your shift
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent Securitas values at all times

Requirements

• Prior security, military, law enforcement, or related experience preferred
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
• Ability to work the set schedule: Tuesday-Saturday, 06:30-14:30
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies
• High school diploma or GED
• Must meet all licensing and background requirements as per state and client regulations
