Job summary

Securitas USA is hiring a Security Officer for a corporate site in Wilton, CT. The role involves protecting employees, visitors, and property, with a Monday–Friday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM schedule and a pay rate of $22.00 per hour.

You will monitor entry points, verify badges, assist visitors, and perform interior and exterior patrols while adhering to health and safety policies. Prior security or customer service experience is preferred, and training will be provided.

• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Access Control & Reception Support; verify badges/IDs for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Patrol interior and perimeter areas; check doors, loading areas, and parking spaces for issues.
• Respond to alarms and security concerns; de-escalate when possible and contact management as needed.
• Complete incident and daily activity reports in a timely manner.
• Provide courteous assistance and directions to employees and visitors; represent the client and Securitas professionally.

Position Summary

We're looking for a professional Security Officer to provide safety and security at a corporate client site in Wilton, CT. In this role, you'll help protect employees, visitors, and property, and support a safe, professional work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Access Control & Reception Support
• Monitor entry and exit points to the building.
• Verify badges/IDs for employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Manage visitor sign-in/sign-out and issue temporary badges.
• Patrols & Safety Checks
• Conduct regular interior and perimeter patrols of the corporate facility.
• Check doors, loading areas, parking lots, and common spaces for security or safety issues.
• Identify and report hazards or unsafe conditions in line with health and safety standards (source: Group Health and Safety Policy).
• Incident Response & Reporting
• Respond to alarms, disturbances, and safety concerns.
• De-escalate situations when possible and contact emergency services or site management when needed.
• Complete clear, timely incident and daily activity reports.
• Customer Service
• Provide courteous assistance to employees and visitors.
• Offer directions and basic information about site procedures.
• Represent the client and Securitas with a calm, professional, and helpful attitude.
• Compliance & Procedures
• Follow all site-specific post orders/assignment instructions (source: Group Health and Safety Policy).
• Comply with company policies, health and safety rules, and any applicable local regulations.
• Participate in required training and refreshers to maintain skills and qualifications (source: Group Health and Safety Policy).

Qualifications
