Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Morning Server for Society 1854 at the Omaha Marriott Downtown. You will tailor dining experiences, serve guests with a friendly, timely, and professional approach, and contribute to exceptional guest satisfaction.

Role involves greeting guests, describing specials, handling orders in a POS system, and maintaining clean, well-stocked service areas. A hospitality mindset and strong English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette and menu items.
• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.
• Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.
• Proficient in English for guest requests and reservations.
• Cash handling experience preferred with POS system."
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted and move through crowded rooms.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
• Understand menu, ingredients, and preparation for service.
• Record and input guest orders into the POS system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks, including restocking condiments.

What will you be doing?

• Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
• Understand menu including ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.
• Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.

What do you bring to the role?

• High school degree or equivalent preferred
• Must have high level knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.
• Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.
• Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.
• Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holiday and have reliable transportation to and from work
