Job summary

The Capitol District Marriott in downtown Omaha is hiring a Morning Server to deliver food and beverage service with warmth, courtesy, and professionalism, elevating the guest experience at Society 1854 inside the Omaha Marriott Downtown. Greet guests, explain specials, input orders into the POS, deliver meals with condiments, handle payments, and maintain station cleanliness.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1+ year fine dining service preferred, strong English, and ability to lift

Responsibilities

• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking condiments.

What will you be doing?

• Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.


• Understand menu including ingredients and preparation of the dishes to the delivery and service expected to accompany the dish.


• Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.


• Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.


• Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.


• Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.


• Complete side work and cleaning tasks including restocking and replenishing condiments.

What do you bring to the role?

• High school degree or equivalent preferred


• Must have high level knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, etiquette, appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.


• One year or more of service in a fine dining outlet preferred.


• Handle customer complaints with empathy and provide proactive solutions.


• Proficient in English for guest requests, memos, and reservations.


• Ability to work POS system and cash handling experience preferred.


• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted on occasion as well as move through crowded rooms to seat guests.


• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holiday and have reliable transportation to and from work
