Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and trustworthy disposition.
• Clear written and oral communication.
• Able to stay positive with students and staff.
• Capable of operating a POS and handling cash accurately.
• Must complete sanitation training and hold a Food Handler certification.
• Sanitation certification maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, production, planning, ordering, inventory and record keeping.
• Collect money for lunch and ala carte sales; operate POS and prepare daily/monthly reports.
• Interact positively with students, staff, parents and other stakeholders.
• Perform kitchen duties including dishwashing and food production.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards at all times.
• Attend training and apply safety procedures; follow proper grooming and attire.
• Assist in after-hours catering if needed and cross-train as directed.
• Participate in school food service promotions with a positive attitude.
