Job summary

Marion Independent School District is seeking a part-time AM School Bus Attendant to support the bus driver in ensuring safe student transportation. The role involves implementing PBIS, maintaining order, assisting students with special needs, and helping create a secure transport environment.

The position requires high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, patience, and the ability to pass a background check. CPR/First Aid training may be required and provided by the district.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student behavior and ensure PBIS rules are followed by students.
• Assist students in safely boarding and exiting the bus and remain seated with safety protocols.
• Provide assistance to students with disabilities or special needs, including aid with mobility equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behavior incidents and communicate with staff.
• Assist in emergency evacuations and provide first aid if trained to do so.
