Job summary

Carversteak in Las Vegas is seeking a Pastry Prep Cook to assist in the preparation and production of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods. You will work closely with the pastry chef and kitchen team to ensure taste, appearance, and quality meet the highest standards.

Ideal candidates may have pastry experience, be able to stand and lift for long periods, and hold a Certified Food Handler credential.

Qualifications

• Previous pastry or baking experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to stand, lift and bend for extended periods.
• Must be able to bend and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Role may include repetitive motion.
• Working environment may involve hot kitchen elements or cleaning materials.
• Certified Food Handler credential is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in baking, cooking, and assembling pastries, desserts, and baked goods.
• Maintain prep station cleanliness and organization according to FIFO and recipe specs.
• Communicate needs to pastry chef and kitchen team; ensure quality and appearance of all products.
• Support opening/closing procedures and daily pre-service routines.
