Job summary

FiNCA bakery in Atlanta, GA is seeking an energetic baker to produce pastries for our Old Fourth Ward location, Side Saddle Wine Saloon, and catering clients. The role starts as early as 5am and requires both independent and collaborative work within a small team.

We value clean, organized work, reliability, and a commitment to quality. You may also assist with pastry deliveries to clients around Atlanta, including paid delivery shifts for personal vehicles.

Qualifications

• Previous baking experience (home or professional).
• Basic baking skills and techniques (measuring, mixing, mise en place, baking).
• Food Handler’s certification from ServSafe (within 60 days of hire).
• Flexible availability and ability to work weekends, early mornings, and some holidays.
• Effective communication with coworkers and management.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to ask clarifying questions.
• Able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining quality.
• Enjoys teamwork and can also work independently.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes for from-scratch pastries in bulk quantities and maintain FiNCA quality standards.
• Open store in mornings by baking pastries and preparing breakfast sandwiches.
• Communicate openly and collaborate with team members.
• Complete production and prep lists and monitor progress to avoid delays.
• Maintain a clean, organized, sanitary workspace and complete closing duties.
• Follow food safety standards and properly label, store, and rotate products (FIFO).
• Monitor product quality and escalate issues to leadership as needed.
• Assist with delivering pastries to Side Saddle Wine Saloon and catering/wholesale clients around Atlanta.
