Job summary

Pima Medical Institute on our Mesa campus is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant Lab Assistant to join the faculty team. Morning shifts only, 8 hours per week, on-site at 957 S. Dobson Road.

You will work with instructors to set up labs, guide students through clinical skills, and help with grading and safety procedures. Requires MA program graduation and CMA/RMA certification, with Arizona licensure as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program recognized by USDE or CHEA (or equivalent) and three years of MA experience.
• Current CMA, RMA, or equivalent certification.
• Current license/certification as required by local/state/federal laws to work as a Medical Assistant in Arizona.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up clinical lab scenarios for morning sessions.
• Demonstrate and guide students through skills like vitals, phlebotomy, injections, EKGs.
• Monitor lab inventory and maintain equipment and safety protocols.
• Assist instructors with grading, record-keeping, and student progress checks.
