Job summary

Pima Medical Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant Instructor for a part-time, Seattle campus role. Teach evening classes Tue/Thu 6:00 PM–10:00 PM, lead lectures, supervise clinical labs, and mentor students on core competencies for career success.

Requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, CMA/RMA certification, and WA MA-C licensure where applicable; prior teaching experience preferred. On-site role with a morning-to-evening schedule option for adults.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program recognized by USDE or CHEA.
• Three years of full-time Medical Assistant experience or three years of related training for non-accredited programs.
• National Certification: CMA or RMA.
• Active Washington MA-C credential or license as required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and video conferencing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead classroom lectures and supervise hands-on clinical lab demonstrations.
• Mentor future healthcare professionals and support student success.
• Evaluate and grade student coursework, clinical check-offs, and assignments within 72 hours.
• Maintain attendance records, grade logs, and required student file documentation.
