Job summary

Pima Medical Institute is seeking a part-time PRN Medical Assistant Instructor to teach and mentor MA students. This substitute role offers flexibility with class time and administration tasks, averaging 5–10 hours per week on-site.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, student assessment, and campus engagement, with opportunities for guest lectures and clinical supervision. The ideal candidate has MA credentialing and proficiency with MS Office and video conferencing.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program and 3 years of full-time MA experience.
• OR 3 years of job-related training and experience for non-accredited graduates.
• Current CMA or RMA certification or ability to obtain before start.

Responsibilities

• Lesson planning and delivering engaging adult-focused instruction.
• Assess coursework and provide timely feedback (within 72 hours).
• Mentor students through office hours and academic advising.
• Supervise externships and arrange guest lectures and campus visits.
• Maintain required documentation and campus compliance.
