Premier Aquatics in Anaheim is hiring part-time lifeguards for hotels in Anaheim. Your main focus is visitor safety, explaining safety protocols, and enforcing pool etiquette while ensuring opening and closing procedures run smoothly.

No experience required; ideal for high school or college students. Availability 8:30 am to 3:00 pm, eligibility for raise after every 60 shifts, and growth opportunities through leadership training and credentials.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ and eligible for a work permit if under 18.
• Require weekend/holiday availability and at least 1 day per week.
• Reliable and committed to assigned shifts.
• Enthusiastic, outgoing and comfortable engaging with the public.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Be able to obtain and maintain StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise swimming activities and enforce safety policies.
• Advise swimmers of hazards and enforce pool rules.
• Respond to emergencies and provide first aid when needed.
• Work independently and maintain focus during long shifts.
• Complete opening/closing procedure checklists.
• Inspect pool facilities and water quality for safety.
• Record pool chemical test results.
• Communicate effectively with patrons, coworkers, and management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

Guided by Lifeguard Managers, you'll be the friendly face explaining safety protocols, the vigilant guardian against potential hazards, and the enforcer of pool etiquette. And let's not forget, you're also the expert on smooth opening and closing procedures. A perfect first job for high school teens, college students, or those who are looking to grow their skills!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Supervises swimming activities at the aquatics facility and ensures that policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed
• Advises swimmers of improper activities or dangers and enforces pool regulations and water safety policies
• Respond to emergencies and administer first-aid when necessary
• Ability to work independently
• Maintain focus at a high level for extended periods
• Evaluate conditions for safety and activate emergency action plan if necessary
• Complete daily opening/closing procedure checklists
• Inspects pool facilities, equipment, and water to ensure that they are safe and usable
• Assists with pool chemical tests and record results accordingly
• Ability to communicate effectively with patrons, co-workers, and management
• Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

• Must be at least 16 years of age and be able to obtain a work permit if under the age of 18
• Be able to work a minimum of 1 day a week and have weekend and holiday availability
• Reliability and commitment to scheduled shifts
• Candidate must be enthusiastic, outgoing, and have a willingness to interact with the public
• Reliable transportation
• Be able to obtain and maintain StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification
• Swimming proficiency and feels comfortable in the water

Preferred

• Have prior lifeguard experience
• StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification
• Be able to work a minimum of 2 days a week and have 1 day of weekend availability
