Job summary

Premier Aquatics in Laguna Niguel seeks a Lifeguard Manager to lead safety and guest experience at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center. You will mentor lifeguards, audit performance, supervise staff, and ensure smooth opening/closing operations.

You will enforce policies, conduct training, handle birthday party reservations, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with management to uphold safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year lifeguard experience or equivalent management experience.
• Be able to obtain and maintain a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification.
• Swimming proficiency and comfortable in depths over 14 feet.
• Minimum 3 workdays per week with weekends/holidays availability.
• 2+ years lifeguard/management experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Enforce facility policies to ensure visitor safety.
• Supervise lifeguards and customer service staff; conduct training.
• Oversee daily operations and opening/closing procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and provide backup support as needed.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and patrons.
• Complete daily reports and manage equipment/restocking.

PART-TIME/HOURLY TEAM MEMBERS ELIGIBLE FOR RAISE AFTER EVERY 60 SHIFTS

COMPENSATION

$18.00-$21.00/hour

Seasonal, hourly/ Part-time, hourly

SUMMARY

Embark on the role of Lifeguard Manager, where you will assume leadership in overseeing the safety and quality of of Premier's day-to-day operations at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center. Your responsibilities include improving the skill set of lifeguards daily via mentorship and audits, supervising the lifeguard and customer service staff, conducting efficient training sessions, ensuring day-of satisfaction of birthday party reservations, and ensuring rigorous enforcement of facility rules. You willdemonstrateelevated customer service skills and contribute to the seamless execution of opening and closing procedures. Elevate the standard of safety and professionalism in our aquatic environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Ensure the safety of all visitors by enforcing facility policies
• Ensure Head Lifeguards/Lifeguards are effectively scanning and responding
• Managers may facilitate daily operations at multiple locations
• Fill in as a tower guard as needed
• Patron interaction and satisfaction
• Respond to emergencies, and provide backup assistance, or appropriate care as needed
• Communicate with staff members and collaborate with other management teams
• The general facility setup, inventory, and restocking
• Complete daily reports
• Establish professional relationships with co-workers and patrons
• Conflict resolution with employees and patrons
• Conduct in-service training and evaluations
• Embrace a dynamic workday and a willingness to step into a variety of positions
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum

• Be able to work a minimum of 3 days a week and have weekend and holiday availability
• 1 year of lifeguard experience or equivalent management experience
• Be able to obtain and maintain a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard Certification
• Swimming proficiency and feels comfortable submerging in deeps exceeding 14 feet

Preferred

• Have 2 or more years of lifeguard/management experience
• Ability to work weekdays and weekends
• Strong customer service skills

Physical

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours a day
• Work in an outdoor environment exposed to natural elements

• Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job and to move or lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be physically able to rescue someone drowning or injured in the water
• May be exposed to prolonged periods of being outdoors
