Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a part-time laboratory technician for the Cleveland Internal Medicine department. This role offers 25 hours per week with a Monday–Friday 7:30am–11:30am schedule, and a pay range of $19.80 to $29.70 per hour.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and lab specimen handling experience, including CBCs and quality control, with supervision provided by technical staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with lab testing experience.
• Experience with CBC testing and basic phlebotomy preferred.
• Ability to follow QA/QC procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assess urgency of tests and prioritize tasks.
• Prepare specimens, verify patient IDs and requisitions.
• Maintain and troubleshoot lab equipment and document QC.
• Prepare reagents and report results with notes on critical values.
• Participate in quality assessment activities and issue resolution.
