Job summary

The Schnitzer Family Campus at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center & Portland Jewish Academy seeks an Opening Shift Welcome Desk Associate. You will be the first friendly contact for members, guests and visitors, handling front-desk operations, program enrollments and essential administrative support for the Wellness Programs + Engagement Manager.

You will greet and assist, process registrations, manage payments, and help maintain schedules and member information.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of customer service practices and modern office methods.
• Skill in using office equipment including multi-line telephone systems; basic arithmetic, English, spelling and grammar.
• Ability to communicate effectively, handle inquiries, and work under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet and screen members and visitors; answer calls and direct to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with program enrollment and payments; process registrations.
• Maintain member information in the system and manage front-desk operations.
• Provide supportive administrative tasks for the Wellness Programs + Engagement Manager.
• Ensure Welcome Desk stock with fliers, packets and schedules.
