Job summary

Hersheypark is seeking a part-time Maintenance and Engineering team member for the Morning Clean-Up Crew at the Hershey, PA location. The role starts as early as 5am, outdoors, and requires standing, bending, and lifting up to 35 pounds.

You will keep venues clean before guests arrive and enjoy perks like free admission and parking with employee ID. Responsibilities include trash removal, outdoor cleaning, and supporting park operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older on the date of applying.
• Must be able to start as early as 5 AM and work flexible hours including days, weekends, and holidays.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions; exposure to cleaning chemicals may occur.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash cans and clear midways of trash and debris throughout Hersheypark and our parking lots.
• Hose down midways and patios before park operations begin.
• Pick up small trash and debris in queue lines and midways, using a broom & dustpan or a picker.
• Wipe down countertops, clean windows and freshen up trash cans.
• Assist in supporting Garbage Truck operations when needed.
• Clean up during and after events throughout the Entertainment Complex.
• Perform other duties as needed to ensure proper cleanliness and appearance.

Description

Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.

The Park Services Utility Department is responsible for providing our guests with exceptional customer service while ensuring that our venues are clean and presentable for our guests and employees. The Morning Clean-Up Crew ensures that our venues are clean and ready prior to guests arrival for the day. Typical start times for this position are 5am or 6am.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Empty trash cans and clear midways of trash and debris throughout Hersheypark and our parking lots.

Job Demands:

Must be able to start as early as 5 AM and be able to work flexible hours including days, weekends, and holidays, in accordance with Child Labor Laws

Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Work is almost exclusively outdoors.

Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for up to 4 hours, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, reach above shoulder level, and the ability to push, pull, and lift up to thirty-five (35) pounds without assistance Physical requirements include standing, sitting, and walking for long periods of time

Must be comfortable with exposure to cleaning chemicals and potential exposure to bodily fluids and other spills
