Job summary

SJB Hotels Inc. is hiring a Bistro Associate for the Courtyard by Marriott Newark-Granville, OH. You will deliver friendly, efficient service in our Bistro, preparing Starbucks beverages, made-to-order items, and alcoholic drinks with a guest-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Customer service or food & beverage experience preferred but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age; 21 to serve alcohol.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first attitude.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler's Permit and/or Alcohol Server's Permit if available; can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide outstanding service professionally and engagingly.
• Take guest orders, process transactions accurately, and deliver food and beverages promptly.
• Prepare Starbucks beverages and ensure quality and presentation standards.
• Follow all food & beverage procedures to maintain cleanliness and health compliance.
• Assist with opening/closing duties, restocking, and cleaning work areas.
• Operate the POS, handle cash/credit transactions, and balance cash drawers.
• Uphold Courtyard by Marriott standards for guest satisfaction and service excellence.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth daily operations.
