The Bistro Associate at Courtyard by Marriott – Newark-Granville, OH is a full-time second-shift position with weekend availability. You will prepare and serve Starbucks beverages, made-to-order food, and alcoholic drinks while delivering a warm, guest‑focused experience and earning tips.

Strong communication, multitasking ability, and flexibility are essential. Prior hospitality or customer service experience is preferred but not required; training is provided with Marriott-brand perks.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or food & beverage preferred, but not required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age 21 to serve alcohol.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-first attitude.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler’s Permit and/or Alcohol Server’s Permit if available. Can be obtained through classes we will have provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up, restocking, and cleaning work areas.
• Operate the point‑of‑sale system, handle cash/credit transactions, and balance cash drawers as needed.
• Uphold Courtyard by Marriott and brand standards for guest satisfaction, food quality, and service excellence.
• Work collaboratively with fellow associates to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive team environment.

Job Title: Bistro Associate

Reports To: General Manager / Operations Manager

Position Summary

The Bistro Associate is a key member of our Courtyard by Marriott team, responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and attentive service to guests in the Bistro restaurant and bar. We are looking for a full‑time attendant during our second shift with weekend availability, as needed. This role involves preparing and serving Starbucks® beverages, made‑to‑order food items, and alcoholic beverages, while ensuring a welcoming and upbeat dining experience that reflects the Marriott service culture. Bistro attendants will also receive credit card/cash tips.

Key Responsibilities
