Job summary

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital seeks a Monitor Technician to join our team as a PRN. You will perform EKG monitoring and interpretation, compile and maintain records for your unit, and support nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care.

We value teamwork, compassion, and reliable patient support. Required BLS, basic EKG training, strong communication, and a high school diploma; CMT/cardiac experience preferred. Join us on Florida's Gulf Coast.

Qualifications

• BLS Healthcare Provider required.
• Completion of Basic EKG/Arrhythmia course; ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• CMT/Cardiac experience preferred.
• Experience as a monitor tech in a hospital setting preferred.
• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
• Report all changes in heart rate/rhythm to appropriate nursing staff.
• Maintain Telemetry Supplies.
• Record patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Operate with age-specific care considerations and safety precautions.
• Orient and mentor new staff members.

We are currently seeking a Monitor Technician to join our team. As our Monitor Tech you will perform a variety of duties including EKG monitoring and interpretation, compiling, transcribing, preparing and maintaining records for your unit. You will also provide information and communication services to visitors and staff and assist nursing staff in maintaining efficient operations on the unit.
