Job summary

HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital in Panama City, FL is seeking a Monitor Tech to support telemetry monitoring, patient records, and unit operations. You will join a team dedicated to patient care and safety.

You will interpret rhythms, report changes to nursing staff, maintain telemetry supplies, document patient condition in electronic systems, mentor new staff, and follow standard precautions.

Qualifications

• BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• Completion of Basic EKG/Arrhythmia course; ability to interpret cardiac rhythms/arrhythmias.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• CMT/Cardiac experience preferred.
• Experience as a monitor tech in a hospital setting preferred.
• Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

As our Monitor Tech you will perform a variety of duties including EKG monitoring and interpretation, compiling, transcribing, preparing and maintaining records for your unit. You will also provide information and communication services to visitors and staff and assist nursing staff in maintaining efficient operations on the unit.
