Prime Healthcare is seeking a Monitor Technician for the Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX. This role involves observing and interpreting patient heart rhythms and telemetry data to support timely clinical decisions.

The position requires a high school diploma, current dysrhythmia interpretation, and BLS certification. Six months of Monitor Technician experience is preferred for applicants.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cardiac monitoring, observe and interpret heart rhythms (ECG/EKG) displayed on telemetry monitors.
• Notify nurses or physicians of any significant changes in a patient\'s heart rhythm or vital signs promptly.
• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot telemetry equipment, including electrodes and monitors.
• Record telemetry readings in the patient\'s medical record for documentation and review.

Hours:12-hour shifts - 6:45pm to 7:15am

Location: DallasRegional Medical Center- Mesquite, TX

We are seeking aMonitor Technician,sometimes referred to asourTelemetry Monitor Technician(Tech) or Tele Monitor Tech. A Tele Monitor Tech willberesponsible forobservingand interpreting patients' heart rhythms and other vital data transmitted by telemetry equipment. This role is crucial foridentifyingand alerting the medical team to any abnormalities or critical changes in a patient's cardiac or health status. The Monitor Technician detects early warning signs of cardiac events, ensuringtimelyintervention, and improving patient outcomes in our telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

• Cardiac monitoring,observeand interpret heart rhythms (ECG/EKG) displayed on telemetry monitors

• Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac patterns, such as arrhythmias, and document findings

• Notify nurses or physicians of any significant changes in a patient's heart rhythm or vital signs promptly, escalat...

• Set up,maintain, and troubleshoot telemetry equipment, including electrodes and monitors

• Ensure proper signal transmission and resolve issues with poor connections or faulty equipment

• Record telemetry readings in the patient's medical record for documentation and review, generate rhythm strips for analysis by the medical team

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for all new hires, effective April 2014.

Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.
