Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on MongoDB database administration experience.
- Experience supporting migrations to MongoDB Atlas.
- Strong knowledge of MongoDB admin, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with performance monitoring, query optimization and indexing.
- Understanding replication, high availability, backup/recovery, and security.
- Ability to collaborate with application, infrastructure, and engineering teams during migration and validation.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Support the migration of existing MongoDB environments to MongoDB Atlas.
- Assist with migration planning, readiness, database configuration, data migration, cutover, and post-migration validation.
- Perform data integrity checks and troubleshoot migration-related issues.
- Support MongoDB database administration across production and non-production environments.
- Monitor database performance and assist with query optimization and index management.
- Support backup and recovery, replication, access management, and database security.
- Partner with application and engineering teams to validate connectivity post-migration.
- Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and availability issues during and after migration.
- Document migration procedures, configurations, and operational processes.
- Support ongoing database operations and help ensure reliability and stability of MongoDB Atlas environments.
