Job description

We need a MongoDB Developer with some exposure to DBA skills as well. Experience of writing queries is needed.

Job Description:

1. Maintain database collections and related data on MongoDB Atlas.
2. Monitor the overall parameters of the clusters like CPU Utilization, Memory utilization, Operation Execution times, Replication lag, load balancing of data and queries and identify the stress areas.
3. Be able to trace the stress areas back to the queries causing them, pro-actively profile such queries and suggest improvements.
4. Be able to support deployment of data elements - collections and data - to the database, after ensuring proper approvals.
5. Good experience in upgrading and migrating various versions of MongoDB and on various platforms.
6. Good experience on advanced queries, query conditionals and aggregation framework.
7. Participate in scalability testing to ensure a highly responsive database.
8. Experience in Mongo utilities like mongostat, mongotop, mongoperf, mongodump, and mongorestore etc.
9. Well versed with SDLC processes like Agile and Scrum.
10. Understand customer requirements and existing environments and translate these into configurations that meet performance, scalability, and availability needs.
11. Should have a good understanding of database security, in the context of MongoDB.

Qualifications Needed:

1. Should have at least 6-8 years of IT experience and with at least 2 years working with MongoDB, preferably Atlas.
2. At least 2 years of exposure to any cloud environments.
3. Self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
4. Good written and oral communication skills.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
