Job summary

UPMC Passavant in Pittsburgh is seeking a full-time Surgical Scheduling Coordinator to manage scheduling of all surgical procedures within the surgical services department, excluding the GI Lab.

Shift is Monday through Friday, 5:30am-2:30pm with no weekends, holidays, travel or on-call. Responsibilities include printing schedules, distributing to departments, maintaining block scheduling, and coordinating changes with the OR and physician offices to ensure accurate scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Make corrections from previous day in software.
• Print schedule and distribute to appropriate departments.
• Maintain daily communication with OR Unit Director.
• Choose and print appropriate preference cards for daily procedures.
• Communicate changes in schedule with appropriate department.
• Ensure accurate organization of surgical schedule.
• Communicate with physician offices related to scheduling process.
• Maintain block scheduling as appropriate.
