Job summary

UPMC Mercy Health Center is seeking a Part-Time Surgery Scheduler to join its Stofman Plastic Surgery team at the UPMC Mercy Professional Building in Pittsburgh. The role is a temporary assignment with an anticipated end date in January 2027 and offers flexible hours on weekdays during daylight hours.

The Scheduler will coordinate and schedule patients for both in-p-p and outpatient procedures, perform related administrative duties, and support the practice as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in medical field is required.
• Previous surgery scheduling experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule patients for in-patient and outpatient surgical procedures.
• Coordinate cases and communicate with hospital personnel to obtain approval for hospital admissions.
• Ensure that informed consents are signed and that pre- and post-operative instructions are provided.
