Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Medical Technologist to perform moderate and high complexity testing in the Clinical Laboratory. You will analyze specimens, report results, and uphold patient-centered care with respect, dignity, and empathy for all individuals.

The role requires a biological science degree with a NAACLS MLS program and certification, plus 6–12 months of clinical MLS internship, and offers growth through mentorship and internal mobility within the organization.

Qualifications

• Biomedical science background required with NAACLS MLS program.
• Certification from a nationally recognized certifying agency (e.g., ASCP).
• 6–12 months of clinical internship as part of MLS training.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity testing in the clinical laboratory.
• Ensure accuracy of testing per guidelines and regulations.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Record data in LIS/HIS and report results promptly (including STAT and critical values).
• Participate in quality control, quality assurance, and safety programs.
• Follow policies when test systems are out of range and implement corrective actions.
