Job summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist to perform moderate and highly complex testing in the clinical laboratory.

The role emphasizes accurate result reporting, adherence to protocols, and compassionate patient interaction within a leading healthcare system. The position supports quality assurance initiatives and requires practical experience with LIS/HIS data entry, instrument maintenance, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Biological Science with NAACLS MT program and certification OR ASCP.
• Certification from a nationally recognized certifying agency.
• 6-12 months clinical internship as part of MLS training program.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and high complexity testing in the clinical laboratory.
• Ensure specimen integrity and address interfering factors for accurate results.
• Operate, troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
• Ensure testing accuracy per manufacturer guidelines and regulations.
• Document results in LIS/HIS and communicate findings promptly.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and QC activities as per Laboratory policies.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Biological Science with NAACLS approved Medical Technology program
