Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Medical technology or Biologic Science is required.
• Licensed Medical Technologist with Molecular Specialty by the state of Florida required.
• Must possess 12 months experience in molecular pathology, medical technology or related field to include nucleic acid extraction and PCR techniques.
• Sound knowledge of QC/QA activities and test validation.

Responsibilities

• Specimen handling and processing for clinical analysis.
• Verify orders and enter specimen collection information.
• Maintain QC/QA records and perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot problems related to specimens and assays.
• Perform and report tests per SOPs for molecular pathology.
• Ensure timely reporting of results and accurate data entry.
