Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Inc. is seeking an Anatomic Pathology Molecular Testing Coordinator to provide logistical, operational, and administrative support for molecular and cytogenetic testing within the Department of Anatomic Pathology.

The role acts as a central point for processing testing requests and ensuring accurate case review, timely specimen handling, and clear communication among pathologists, clinical staff, and outside facilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 1-2 years work experience in Administrative, Healthcare or science based fields.
  • Experience with computer systems including web-based applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and process molecular and cytogenetic requests for internal and external reference laboratories.
  • Review pathology reports and supporting documentation to determine next steps in the molecular testing workflow.
  • Complete molecular and cytogenetic collection questions based on review of pathology reports and testing requirements.
  • Review and verify test requisitions for insurance purposes and ensure ordering criteria is met before molecular testing.
  • Track and monitor the status of molecular and cytogenetic testing results to ensure timely processing and reporting.
  • Upload molecular reports and related documents within the patient’s EMR.
