Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join our Molecular Diagnostics team in Westborough, MA. Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM.

You will receive patient samples, perform automated and manual DNA extractions, monitor instrumentation, maintain SOP documentation, troubleshoot assays, and support continuous improvement of workflows. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science; ASCP or AMT certification is preferred; 3 months or more

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical or biological science, CLIA-related field.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• 3 months or more of clinical lab testing experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive patient samples into the lab for extractions.
• Perform automated and manual DNA extractions from patient samples.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Maintain internal documentation for all steps of the processes as outlined in SOPs.
• Troubleshoot assays and reagent qualification issues.
• Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts.
