Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts is seeking a detailed Medical Laboratory Technologist to support STI testing and molecular diagnostics in a clinical lab setting.

The role includes specimen processing, running tests on the Hologic Panther system, reporting results through LIS, and maintaining quality control and safety standards in a CLIA-regulated environment. Join a mission-driven team dedicated to accurate, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related science with at least one year of clinical lab experience.
• Experience following SOPs and performing laboratory testing accurately.
• Knowledge of specimen processing, quality control, and safety procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS), preferably Harvest LIS.
• ASCP certification (MLS or MLT) or equivalent.
• Experience in a CLIA-regulated clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine STI testing using molecular diagnostics and related technologies.
• Receive, verify, process, and prepare patient specimens for testing.
• Conduct laboratory testing in accordance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Review, document, and report test results using the LIS.
• Perform daily quality control procedures and evaluate results before reporting.
