Legend Biotech in Somerset, New Jersey, is seeking a Scientist, Molecular Assays to join the Bioanalytical Sciences team. You will develop, execute, and optimize molecular assays for clinical and preclinical programs, with emphasis on qPCR, ddPCR, and NGS workflows.

The ideal candidate has hands-on molecular biology experience, strong lab execution, and meticulous data documentation. This role offers growth in a fast-paced cell and gene therapy environment in collaboration with multidisciplinary

Qualifications

MS or PhD with required years of relevant experience.
Hands-on molecular biology: nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, RT-qPCR, ddPCR.
NGS library prep and single-cell sequencing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform molecular biology experiments for clinical, translational, and preclinical programs.
Execute qPCR, ddPCR assays for gene expression and biomarker analysis.
Support assay development, qualification, transfer, and troubleshooting.
Handle nucleic acid extraction and quality assessment from diverse samples.
Prepare NGS libraries including scRNA-seq workflows.
Operate and maintain qPCR, ddPCR, and NGS platforms.
Maintain documentation and contribute to SOPs and reports.
Manage samples using LIMS and ELN systems.
