Job summary

Legend Biotech US is seeking a Scientist, Molecular Assays inSomerset, NJ, to join the Bioanalytical Sciences team. The role focuses on developing and executing molecular assays for clinical, translational, and preclinical programs using qPCR, ddPCR, and NGS workflows.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced biotech environment, contributing to cell and gene therapy programs while ensuring data quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• MS in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field with 8+ years of experience, or PhD with 3+ years.
• Hands-on molecular biology: nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, RT-qPCR and/or ddPCR.
• Experience with NGS workflows and library preparation; single-cell sequencing a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular biology experiments for clinical, translational and preclinical programs.
• Execute qPCR and ddPCR assays for gene expression, transgene detection, and biodistribution.
• Prepare samples and perform NGS library prep including scRNA-seq.
• Operate and maintain qPCR/ddPCR/NGS platforms.
• Ensure data quality and accurate documentation.
