Job summary

Silgan Closures in Tolleson, AZ is hiring a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain high-speed injection and compression molding equipment used to produce closures for food and beverage brands. This hands-on role emphasizes safety and reliability in a Fortune 500 manufacturing environment.

You will perform scheduled preventive maintenance, repair machinery, and assist with parts and tool use.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair high-speed injection and compression molding equipment.
• Work in a safety-conscious, GMP/Food Safety/HACCP compliant environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Perform repairs on compression and injection molding machinery, auxiliary equipment and maintain systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Repair and rebuild spare parts using hand tools, measuring instruments, blueprints and schematic.
• Work with Team Leads, Quality Assurance Technicians, PTMs, Molders, Lining Technicians, and Printer Technicians.
• Observe and enforce all safety, security, and comply with GMP, Food Safety, and HACCP programs.
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas and machinery.
• Assist with building and grounds repairs, including snow removal.
• Utilize EAM maintenance management software to enter and close work orders, track parts, and log labor hours.

What We Offer

• Pay range $28.00 - $32.00 per hour, based on experience
• $1.00 per hour for night shift 12- hour shift 5:45 pm – 6:00 am
• - Mon - Fri 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
• Bi-weekly pay

• Schedule: 2-2-3 with every other weekend off – Friday - Sunday or Monday - Friday

What You Will Do

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3 + years of experience of industrial maintenance experience
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform maintenance tasks to the satisfaction of the Maintenance Manager
• Capable of working in a high‑speed manufacturing environment with heavy‑duty industrial equipment
